Thanks for considering our company for your domain registration service. When you transfer to our registration service, there is a $12.95 fee and we add one year to your current expiration date. Only after you are fully transferred to our system may you add more years to this.
You can transfer any [.com, .net, .org, .biz, and .info] domain to our service, as long as the domain has not yet expired. (.us and other country-codes will be included at a later date.)
Here's how to do it:
1. Get your official domain record at
http://www.netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois. You WILL need it.
2. Print it out so you have the exact data in front of you.
3. Now go to our "Transfer Page".
4. Enter your domain name and click "Add". (Repeat for additional domains)
5. Scroll to bottom of page and click "Next".
6. Login to your account (or start one if new)
7. Select Price - currently, you can have only one year added initially. (You can extend up to 10 years later). Click "Next".
8. Now, using your printout, enter the domain owner information exactly as it is on the record. If your Admin, Technical, and Billing Contact information is the same as the Owner, check the boxes to indicate that. Click "Next".
9. If any of this information is different than the Owner's, click the "Edit" link(s) and make changes so all matches the official record.
10. Check box(es) where you want invoice copies to go. Click "Next".
11. Fill out the credit card infomation and Click "Next".
12. You can print this page out as your invoice, then Click "Finish".
It will then take 2 to 3 days for this process to be completed and the Whois records updated. Once your domain is transferred to our system, you can access and control all information on it by logging into your account with us.

After you submit a transfer request, you will receive an email. It looks like this:
A request has been made to transfer the domain name(s)

to a new registrar. To approve this transfer,

You will be prompted for the following secret key to
complete the transfer:

After you enter the secret key, you will have the option to
confirm or deny the transfer of each of the domains listed.
NOTE: because the transfer must also be approved by your current
registrar, it can take up five days to complete after we receive
your confirmation.

When you click on the link in this email, you will see a page as shown below. You then enter the secret key code from your email into the window and click the submit button.

Now you should see a page as shown below, telling you that your request was successful sent.
It will now take 2 to 3 days for your transfer to be completed. Read the note below.

Success: We have requested a registrar transfer for the following domains. The domains' current registrar must now approve or deny the transfer, following its own policy. The time it will take for the transfer to be completed varies from registrar to registrar.
Please note: some registrars have a policy of refusing all transfers unless they receive an explicit authorization from the domain owner. That is, in addition to the approval you just gave us, you may have to do the same with the domains' current registrar. Some registrars will give you a very short time window (a few days) to approve the transfer, after which they will cancel the transfer. You may want to contact your current registrar to find out about their policy.
